Comanche Public Schools

Charlie Hughes- graduated from Comanche High School in 1968 and began working at CPS in Aug. of 1969.  While he was attending High School he drove the Vo-Tech bus for the district. Once he graduated he took a job in Comanche Public schools in the maintenances department. Charlie drove a  bus route for several years while working as the school's mechanic. Mr. Ladd found him one day working on an air conditioner and this began his work with the electrical and heat and air. Mrs. Bills is the eighth superintendent Charlie has worked with, while Mr. Davidson holds the record for the most number of years Charlie has been employed under a superintendent. Charlie is one of 4 siblings who have worked for Comanche Public Schools. Thank you Charlie for dedicating 55 years of service to Comanche Public Schools. You are appreciated and loved by many!
