Due to the expectation of continued temperature drops and the ice CPS will have a snow day tomorrow - not virtual- for Wednesday, January 28, 2026. While the main roads are clearer, the side roads remain hazardous. Students have their devices at home if we need to transition to virtual learning at some point this week. Scheduled activities are cancelled for tomorrow. The buildings will be closed. An additional message will be sent tomorrow with details regarding plans for Thursday.

‼️Let's go Indians ‼️
The consolation finals will now be played Thursday afternoon starting at 1:00 pm. The boys consolation final will be at 2:30 pm. That will leave four games for Friday. They will be played at 10:00, 11:20, 12:40 and 2:00 weather permitting. With Friday being unlikely that will only leave four games to be made up. I have included the updated brackets.

🏀 S E N I O R S P O T L I G H T 🏀
From tip-off to the final buzzer, Cooper Epperson leads with confidence, poise, and heart. A steady presence on the floor, a leader in the locker room, and a competitor every single possession. When the moment gets big, Cooper stays calm and sets the tone for everyone around him.
Proud to recognize a senior who represents what it means to be an Indian—hard work, leadership, and toughness. Keep shining, #4! ❤️🖤

Due to forecasted winter weather this weekend the Stephens County Athletic Association has moved the tournament dates. Friday's consolation bracket games have been moved to Wednesday evening and Saturday's championships have been moved to Friday. I have included the new brackets.

CHS Speech and Debate program captured another win extending their streak this past weekend in Lawton at the Winter Takes All Tournament. Placing is as follows:
Kanton Stevens: 1st Place Champs Dramatic Interpretation, 1st Place Prose
Caison Mclean: 1st Place Champs Informative
Austin Ehredt: 2nd Place Champs Prose, 2nd Place Informative
Alaina Yeary: 1st Place Novice Dramatic Interpretation
Ellie Schreiner: 2nd Place Original Oratory , 1st Place Humorous Interpretation, 1st Place Champs Prose
The team took home 1st place in the champs division, competing against numerous schools throughout SW Oklahoma, and qualifying even more for Regionals. Congratulations to all for the hard work they have put into their pieces and their representation of CHS.
